Ducker Worldwide  — In 2014, worked as a field researcher for Ducker Worldwide, a global market research firm that caters to the construction and automotive industries. In this position, I gathered data from specific target markets for focused industrial studies. Information was gathered via phone and email and entered onto Excel spread sheets and Word documents for the purpose of identifying trends. Information was used within the construction and automotive industries for the purpose of product development and improvement. Field researchers are responsible for maintaining their contact lists, updating information on those lists, securing interviews with clients and end users and producing accurate and concise reports on findings. Researchers also were expected to meet daily/weekly quotas.


  • Produce quarterly electronic newsletter for the membership of Still Point Zen Buddhist Temple, Detroit, Mich.
  • Reading and literacy volunteer for the Detroit Public Schools’s Reading Corps and the Ferndale Schools; member of the Green School Committee at JFK Elementary School, which was designated as the No. 1 Green School in Oakland County for 2013; active member of a Detroit non-profit board of trustees.
  • Part of the team that devised and implemented a graphic redesign of The Daily Tribune in 2004. The Michigan Press Association awarded us for our efforts.
  • Helped Cornerstone Schools win a Hermes Creative Award for their 2008-09 Annual Report.
  • Active in The Detroit Newspaper Guild, Local 22; served as an alternate on the bargaining team and as a shop steward.
